Eggs Eggs and More Eggs

Last November we purchased 100 White Leghorn and Production Red chicks to augment our egg layers who were starting to get older and were laying less and less.  We wanted a chicken that would be heat tolerant in the Arizona desert, not eat a ton of food, and lay lots of eggs.  White leghorns were the answer!!

We sold quite a few of these chicks when they were about 3 months old to people all over Arizona who were interested in starting with chickens and wanted layers that were good layers of high quality eggs. When it was all said and done we kept around 30 pullets that would become our egg layers.



Well those 30 pullets are now layers and they are really laying!!!!

We are even considering starting to sell to the local Farmer's Markets in the area!! We'll let you know where and when we will be selling our eggs.

Our egg layers are fed an all organic feed that is soy free, corn free, and GMO free.  They are pastured on 2 irrigated acres that has plenty of grass for them to forage on.


With the addition of the White Leghorn chickens our eggs are even more beautiful!! Brown, cream, white, blue and green!!
